The minimalist sandal

With Spring and Summer coming up I'm loving the idea of having bare legs again and forget all about heavy boots and shoes. What is better than a simple design sandal to stand out from all the platforms, wedges and chunky heels out there ?

Here are some Spring/Summer 2012 runaway looks inspiring the minimalist sandal trend. (I know Fall/Winter 12/13 shows it's all fashion addicts are talking about but I'm sorry, I can't, I need my Spring and Summer first !)

If you're a shoes addict and do anything for designer shoes (a dear friend of mine will recognize herself, hein babe?), I'm sure you can find your happiness with this designer shoes selection.

From top left to bottom right: Isabel Marant chain strap sandal (not available online, check IM stores), Tibi Amber black heel sandals (tibi), Miu Miu nude sandals (net-à-porter), Celine black suede sandals (not available online, check Celine stores), Salvatore Ferragamo color block sandals (not available online, check stores), Giuseppe Zanotti black metal sandals (barneys, also available in nude)

My favorite has to be Isabel Marant's chain strap sandal. Even though it is probably the less minimalist of these sandals I just love how the chains look on the ankle, and the nude color is subtle enough for these to part of the minimalist sandals selection.

If you're like me and love designer shoes but simply cannot afford buying a pair every month (remember last month when I bought a pair of IM dicker boots?), I also found some more affordable options.

From top left to bottom right: Badgley Mischka nude and brown sandal (piperlime), Zara thin strap black sandal (zara), Nine West lookglobal nude and orange sandal (ninewest), Tony Bianco gold phyton sandal (tonybianco), Cosmoparis Dizzie sandal with bow (sarenza), Boutique 9 chain sandal (piperlime)

My favorite is Zara's simple sandal, I think it captures exactly what I was looking for in a minimalist sandal: thin straps, perfect heel height and realistic price !

What do you think about the minimalist sandal, would you wear it ? What is your favorite ?

  1. I am waiting for the IM ones... They are awesome!

  2. ahhhhh, why am I not surprised??? Love them too :)

  8. I'm so digging this, especially the ones from Zara.

  9. Thanks Ria, I agree, those from Zara are gorgeous :)

  10. For my taste I would say the IM ones, and the Miu Miu (nude), great sandals!!!...but for my budget, I think I will visit ZARA very soon!!!!
    beijinhos Marta, tudo de bom!

  11. Querida Vanda, for my budget the Zara sandals are also more appropriate, good choice !! xx Marta
