The Isabel Marant Lazio "look alike" boots

Silk shirt - Equipment
Coated jeans - Zara (similar here)
Blazer - Zara (similar here)
Wedge "hairy" boots - Zara (sold out in a few days)

I am in love with Isabel Marant Lazio boots (who isn't, right ?), but because of their crazy price I'm not close to buying a pair. When Zara's look alike version was released you can imagine what I did on my iphone's Zara app as soon as I saw them. There was no way that I wasn't going to order these immediately and risking seeing them sold out in a few days (which actually happened !).

As soon as I saw them in real life I loved them even more except for one tiny detail. The heel height. It was difficult to realise online that they have a 12 cm heel, 12 cm on which our human feet are not supposed to walk in. Even in wedges, 12 cm doesn't fell right nor comfortable. Someone told me that beauty is pain but I'm definitely not convinced. I might not keep these very long but I'm too in love to let them go now.

What do you think, should I keep them for the look and cry every time I wear them ????

xx Marta

  1. I am big fun of your style but I am not into these boots. There is definitely something wrong with them ( not only 12cm high heel which you mentioned).

  2. Oh really, you think ? I don't know if I'm blindly obsessed (love is blind, right ?) but for me they look so perfect... What do you think is wrong ? xx

  3. Its the getting used to the hidden wedge thing again isn't it? It took me a while to get used to seeing it on the trainers (now very happily used to seeing them) but there is something which probably doesn't ring quite right with them though they look much nicer than some of the clompy wedge platform ones that are in so many shops right now. I tried on a pair of said clompy wedge boots and though not horrendous, I couldn't quite reconcile myself with the way they looked. The Zara boots are maybe a little pantomimey (like when the children get fake horse hooves to put on their feet as part of their costumer. Oh crikey - if that doesn't put you off, the 12cm heel will. Marta - just ignore me - you must dread my comments by now.

  4. Wow! I had no idea they were that high. Shoes can be rather deceiving with in-built wedges etc. I say if they are that uncomfortable, I don't think that's ever going to change. You might bear, grit your teeth and wear them a few times but I think long term it's a huge deterant. I hope you come up with a solution because they look amazing on you!

  8. ive been eyeing these shoes on zara's website all season. i just received them after they went on sale, but i find my heel slips when i try to walk in them. i was wondering if you had the same problem. also, are they big on your ankles? they are tremendous on mine.

  9. I've sold them since, they were too high for me. I didn't think they were comfortable but I don't remember if they were big on the ankles, sorry. In the meantime, I bought the real Lazio boots, man what a difference ;) xx
